A little history about my job....
I work for a Funiture company on the west cost called Raymour & Flanigan. This company is kind of big and is ever expanding. I work the graveyard shift, thats late at night from 10pm to 6:30am so my day is ending when i sleep in the morning (around 8am) and starting when i wake up (around 3 or 4pm)
I dont work in thew store, instead i work behind the scenes in the warehouse. I'm a Facility Technican. It is my job to unliad the trucks and put the furniture in the line in which its to be delivered. Its a hard job but it pays well, $12/hour. Not bad for me.
I have been working at Raymour & Flanigan since August 2005, but i took a small leave to go to Edinboro University. That was from mid-january to mid-May. I came back to work for a week during my spring break.
I like my job, when I started this job i really didnt think it was for me. Before I came here I was a Teachers Aide. Teching 1st and 2nd graders. Also I work behind a desk as an administrative assistant. And I did various temp jobs as an administrative assistant. I did lots of database entry. I typed ALL DAY. It got boring so I decided to venture into somewthing new, I decided to become a labor worker.
During my first two months I work during first shift from 6:30am to 3:00pm. It was strenuous and hard so i decided to quit, I didnt come back to work for a week. After I realized how much i missed this job i ended up begging to keep my job and my then boss Mike decided to give me a second chance. And I'm glad he did. I absolutly love my job!
I guess this going to be my part one, I typing this at work, I'll finish the rest later at home.
